Before You Send Your Saree

  • 1. Use a sturdy box or padded envelope, never send a saree in a plastic bag.
  • 2. Fold along existing crease lines, do not create new folds.
  • 3. Include a note with your measurements: waist (inches), height (feet + inches), and pallu length preference.
  • 4. Mention any special concerns: stains, tears, weak areas, embroidery to protect.
  • 5. Use a trackable courier, we recommend DTDC, Blue Dart, or India Post Speed Post.
  • 6. Insure the package, declare the saree's value for transit insurance.

General Longevity Tips

  1. 01

Rotate wear, do not wear the same Nauvari on consecutive days. Give the fabric 24 hours to breathe.

  2. 02

Air out after every wear, hang in shade for 2-3 hours before storing. Never store immediately after wearing.

  3. 03

Monsoon care, add silica gel packets to storage. Air out every 2 weeks. Never store damp. Use a dehumidifier if possible.

  4. 04

Annual professional dry clean for silk Nauvaris, even if not worn frequently.

  5. 05

Re-stitching after 2-3 years of heavy use, bring it back for a stitch-line refresh at 30% of the original conversion cost.

  6. 06

Spot cleaning, for cotton: dab (do not rub) with cold water + mild soap. For silk: take to dry cleaner immediately.

  7. 07

Inspect stitch lines every 3 months for loose threads. Early detection prevents larger repairs.

Storage by Season
